The effective properties of a two-dimensional binary magnetic system are studied. The magnetic system is composed by cobalt cylindrical nanodots embedded into a permalloy film. For this system it is possible to describe the collective excitations through effective quantities allowing us to describe the system as a magnonic metamaterial.

Abstract
