Abstract
The application of the 3D laser scanner procedures as technical support for the construc- tion design is focus of this paper. The laser scanner technology has become of fundamental importance for the cultural heritage survey sector. Accuracy and precision of the 3D Laser Scanner survey could be a decisive support for the quality of the design process. The inte- grated survey, promoted and performed in the MUDI (Museo degli Innocenti), could be a best practices case. In May 2008, the “Istituto degli Innocenti” promoted a competition concerning the prelim- inary design of the new Museum. In order to realize the project, the architects have faced a series of problems solved thanks to the information provided by the 3D laser scanner. The laser scanner technology has radically reduced the elaboration time of the data and in particularly has allowed the designers to use only the information strictly necessary ob- tained from the survey.I documenti in SFERA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
