The aims of this study are: 1) To determine the feasibility of a FT colorectal surgery program at the University Hospital of Ferrara in Ferrara (Italy); 2) To analyze the difficulties to the implementation of a FT colorectal surgery program in an Italian teaching hospital; 3) To evaluate the Italian patients’ satisfaction with FT perioeprative care; 4) To assess the cost-effectiveness and cost-benefit of the program in Italy; 5) To determine which elements of the protocol are independent predictors of faster postoperative recovery.
