The lagoon comes as a confined environment of significant natural value and currently is the site of an international port: for these reasons, it is strategic to understand the critical urgency and the characteristics of the area, in order to determine the best future environmental policies. The lagoon now has been the focus of numerous studies on water quality, because the area is affected by a massive problem of eutrophication which gradually has hit hard the economic sector of the fishing, the most important of the area. Our research instead examines the terrigenous sediments surface defining the quality through the use of geochemical and petrographic techniques, and the dynamics of deposition through the study of particle sizes and real specific weights.

Abstract
The lagoon comes as a confined environment of significant natural value and currently is the site of an international port: for these reasons, it is strategic to understand the critical urgency and the characteristics of the area, in order to determine the best future environmental policies. The lagoon now has been the focus of numerous studies on water quality, because the area is affected by a massive problem of eutrophication which gradually has hit hard the economic sector of the fishing, the most important of the area. Our research instead examines the terrigenous sediments surface defining the quality through the use of geochemical and petrographic techniques, and the dynamics of deposition through the study of particle sizes and real specific weights.I documenti in SFERA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
