In Italia the only Region accepting cogeneration as a solution useful to reduce the primary energy demand and to satisfy the requests in terms of renewable energy sources is Emilia Romagna. In this paper both the regulatory framework and two examples of microcogeneration systems for different typologies of buildings are discussed.
