The Tessina landslide is a complex movement with several slumbs in the depletion area and a large earth flow, with a total length of about two km. Active since 1960, the slide in 1992 had a sudden enlargement, passing from an area of 454,000 m^2 to 500,000m^2. Many studies propomted by the Veneto Regional authorities, were carried out in order to take possible control measures: VES, mechanical boreholes and various hydrogeological studies. Authors carried out new detailed geological and geomechanical surveys, which allowed them to elaborate a more complete hydrogeological scheme. Thus they proposed the excavation of a drainage tunnel as a fundamental step in the reclamation of the area.
