The design of the architectural facades as a theme for the reconstruction of Berlin in a matter of continuity. The typological experiences and their relationship with the public realm of streets, squares, urban blocks and building types. The traditional city with its patterns of streets, and squares geometrically laided out is being restored and redeveloped as an alternative to the mass-consuption collection of freestanding objects. The redescovery of the relevance of the visual experience that the citizens has daily by strolling trough the citys’ corridors and urban facades. The paper will outline some of the most recent and innovative experiences in the unique process of reconstruction of Berlin, hier considered as a way to understand the complex and fundamental relationship between architectural typologies technical systems of construction and the envelopes which ultimately shape the city.
