We present a Brillouin cross-section study of Fe/Cr(211) and Fe/Cr/(100) multilayers with antiferromagnetic coupling. We study their dynamical response as a function of the external magnetic field. The model Hamiltonian includes both the bilinear and the biquadratic exchange couplings. Since the thickness of the iron layers varies between 20 Å and 100 Å the dynamic magnetization is assumed uniform across each ferromagnetic film. We consider both symmetric and asymmetric systems showing the effect of geometrical asymmetry on the Brillouin spectra intensity. This type of calculations allows us to determine the magnetic properties of antiferromagnetically coupled multilayers. --Presentazione orale by R. Zivieri - Conferenza internazionale
