The complexation of artemisinin (ART), a poorly water soluble anti-malarial drug, with the β-cyclodextrin (βCD) can improve its solubility. In this work ART-βCD complexes were manufactured by three different methods, namely slurry, kneading and spray drying technique and subsequently transformed into soft agglomerates to improve their handling properties.
