A recent and rapid (only 5 minutes for immunoprecipitation) immunological technique, the Radial Counter Immunoelectrophoresis, was evaluated on 38 sera from patients with surgically confirmed hydatidosis and on 15 subjects with other parasitic diseases. The sensitivity and specificity of radial counterimmunoelecrophoresis was high.
