The Authors have applied a new test, the Thin LAyer Immunoassay to the serodiagnosis of bacterial and parasitic diseases (TIA, Leptospirosis, Hydatidosis, Typhoid fever, Amoebiasis, Toxoplasmosis, Schistosomiasis), and compared the results with those obtained with some classical immunological techniques. The TIA has been shown to be highly sensitive, the results being similar to those of other tests performed in this study. Furthermore, it is economical and easy to perform. The test, however, has the disadvantage of giving false positive results in the sera from patients with parasitic diseases.

Abstract
The Authors have applied a new test, the Thin LAyer Immunoassay to the serodiagnosis of bacterial and parasitic diseases (TIA, Leptospirosis, Hydatidosis, Typhoid fever, Amoebiasis, Toxoplasmosis, Schistosomiasis), and compared the results with those obtained with some classical immunological techniques. The TIA has been shown to be highly sensitive, the results being similar to those of other tests performed in this study. Furthermore, it is economical and easy to perform. The test, however, has the disadvantage of giving false positive results in the sera from patients with parasitic diseases.File in questo prodotto:
