Abstract
Analytical and semianalytical methodologies are presented with the aim of investigating performance of DS-CDMA systems using a RAKE receiver. The system is composed by a fixed number of digital subscribers adopting asynchronous transmission to a single base station. By taking multipath propagation and the exact evaluation of spreading codes correlation into account, the system performance is defined in terms of both mean bit error probability and outage probability. The spreading sequences investigated include some well known two-level sequences and multilevel sequences with complex mapping. The numerical results show a good agreement between the two different methodologiesI documenti in SFERA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
