Pseudotumor Cerebri (PTC), also named Benign Intracranial Hypertension (BIH), is a rare and severe neurological condition characterized by symptoms related to the brain edema not referable to organic conditions (inflammatory disease, infection, tumor, trauma, toxic or metabolic state, venous thrombosis). Among the causative agents of PTC there are drugs used to treat dermatological diseases, in particular acne vulgaris, such as minocycline, oral isotretinoin (O.I.), hormones and corticosteroids. We describe a case of PTC induced by minocycline which is of particular interest because PTC did not appear during a following course of oral isotretinoin.

Safe use of oral isotretinoin after pseudo-tumor cerebri due to minocycline.
