The Municipality of Ferrara has lately focused on Palazzo degli Specchi, an office complex left to decay since late ‘80s. The urban area needs a deep refurbishment: its program has to change from mainly office to residential and services. It is also the chance of carry out urban planning with a sustainable approach, in order to set guidelines for the energy retrofit of the existing buildings and turn the quarter in an excellence spot of the city.
