Some of the most spectacular examples of Triassic carbonate platforms are provided by the thick (800-1000 m) Anisian-Ladinian build-ups of the Dolomites. These platforms (Sciliar Fm) grew through a late Anisian, fast aggradation phase, often followed by an early Ladinian progradational evolution.
