Crisis is a problem concerning both Europe and our European identity. This is why “Creativity” and “Culture” are the two keywords chosen to explain how conference participants think Europe can get over the crisis. Crisis is not only a problem, but it is also an opportunity for re-thinking our strategic positioning and re-modelling our way of acting. From this perspective, creativity and culture could become a strategic engine based on the idea of a sustainable development built European characteristics. This can also foster cultural networks, that are fundamental for cooperation among different countries. European identity is based on culture to enhance awareness and acknowledgement, qualifi cation and advancement, resources for remembering popular tradition, and wealth for everyone.
