Among the Eco-Efficient Cities presented at Triennale V, the new urban center at Plessis Robinson awarded the first prize at the European Prize Philippe Rotthier 2008. The most successful case in the Paris metropolitan region of a “hard banlieue” re-generated through the demolition of some 2,400 housing units built in the 1960s and 70s and the construction of a new Eco-garden City conceived according to the principles of the sustainable development.
