A real case history concerning hydraulic conductivity testing of a cement-bentonite cut-off wall, devoted to confine an excavation in groundwater, is presented. Hydraulic conductivity values obtained directly on the wall by laboratory and in situ infiltration tests were compared with indirect estimates derived from pumping tests performed, inside the confined area, either at the beginning and at the end of the excavation.

Abstract
A real case history concerning hydraulic conductivity testing of a cement-bentonite cut-off wall, devoted to confine an excavation in groundwater, is presented. Hydraulic conductivity values obtained directly on the wall by laboratory and in situ infiltration tests were compared with indirect estimates derived from pumping tests performed, inside the confined area, either at the beginning and at the end of the excavation.File in questo prodotto:
