Abstract
Middle Valdarno area, in Northern Tuscany (Italy), is taken into account as a case-study concerning management of groundwater resources in vulnerable urban areas. The compresence of medium-low permeability fractured aquifers, high yield alluvial porous aquifers, high dependence of municipal supply on surface water and, finally, a high degree of potential pollution impact makes very important to consider not only vulnerability but also sensibility to pollution and risk for best managing new exploitation and pumping distribution of the resource.File in questo prodotto:
