The antimicrobial activity of the essential oil of Santolina insularis (Genn. ex Fiori) Arrig. (Asteraceae), an aromatic plant endemic on the island of Sardinia (Italy), was evaluated. The results revealed significant antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
