Radiopropagation models and optimization tools are crucial for effective wireless network planning. In this paper, recent advances on both themes are proposed. As for radiopropagation models, an empirical approach is proposed to make percolation models viable for real applications. As for optimization, new methods are proposed, based on both combinatorial and linear relaxation approaches. Results attained by combining these improvements are shown, referring to a real case, and validated on experimental measurements.

Abstract
Radiopropagation models and optimization tools are crucial for effective wireless network planning. In this paper, recent advances on both themes are proposed. As for radiopropagation models, an empirical approach is proposed to make percolation models viable for real applications. As for optimization, new methods are proposed, based on both combinatorial and linear relaxation approaches. Results attained by combining these improvements are shown, referring to a real case, and validated on experimental measurements.File in questo prodotto:
