A very simple system to identify the sensor positions in a squared constraint area, based on the carrier signals received powers from two beacons, is presented. Such a system is characterized to be very simple in terms of management and to be low cost. The system performance has been analytical investigated by means of two merit figures: the measure outage probability and the measure error. The analytical theory is developed to evaluate these indexes and the results show that the measure outage probability decreases with the sensor to beacon distance, even if the measure error increases, The whole performance show that the simple proposed system is usable for the position estimation.

Abstract
A very simple system to identify the sensor positions in a squared constraint area, based on the carrier signals received powers from two beacons, is presented. Such a system is characterized to be very simple in terms of management and to be low cost. The system performance has been analytical investigated by means of two merit figures: the measure outage probability and the measure error. The analytical theory is developed to evaluate these indexes and the results show that the measure outage probability decreases with the sensor to beacon distance, even if the measure error increases, The whole performance show that the simple proposed system is usable for the position estimation.I documenti in SFERA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
