The CD Rom is based on the results of the ARIADNE research project (funded by EC) and contains a considerable amount of information. This information can be used to assist designers, managers of buildings, users and carers to make informed decisions on determining the tasks that people have to perform in using particular buildings (or parts of buildings) and the needs that they have when performing those tasks. It also contains extensive examples of good design solutions or facilities to use. There is also information on how to undertake access auditing and an opportunity to experience a complex audit as undertaken by ‘an expert’ and to learn interactively about the process, the method adopted and the decisions taken. The Ariadne section contains information on the installation of an Ariadne system into new and existing buildings. This section will be used to generate interest from engineers, facilities managers and others involved in the management of built environments. The CD Rom has been extended in several sections including those related to access auditing, building types and the section related to the ARIADNE development, which also now includes information on other complementary wayfinding assistance systems currently available on the market.

Abstract
The CD Rom has been extended in several sections including those related to access auditing, building types and the section related to the ARIADNE development, which also now includes information on other complementary wayfinding assistance systems currently available on the market.I documenti in SFERA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
