This paper presents the project of reclaimed wastewater reuse for irrigation purpose in a small seaside town (Rosolina Mare, Rovigo) in the Northern Italy. The local municipal wastewater treatment plant is going to be upgrading in order to produce an effluent whose quality will respect the restrictive law limits for irrigation reuse of gardens, parks, etc. The first part focuses on the reasons that have led to a cost-benefit analysis of reclaimed wastewater reuse for irrigation in this region of the North of Italy, mainly the site characteristics. The last part points out the design choices referring to the tertiary treatment by UV of an effluent fraction from the local municpal wastewater treatment plant.

Abstract
This paper presents the project of reclaimed wastewater reuse for irrigation purpose in a small seaside town (Rosolina Mare, Rovigo) in the Northern Italy. The local municipal wastewater treatment plant is going to be upgrading in order to produce an effluent whose quality will respect the restrictive law limits for irrigation reuse of gardens, parks, etc. The first part focuses on the reasons that have led to a cost-benefit analysis of reclaimed wastewater reuse for irrigation in this region of the North of Italy, mainly the site characteristics. The last part points out the design choices referring to the tertiary treatment by UV of an effluent fraction from the local municpal wastewater treatment plant.I documenti in SFERA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
