We present the results of a geological and structural study carried out along the western sector of the pedealpine Flexure, between the Astico and the Brenta valleys. This contribution is mainly based on an original detailed field survey devoted to define the deformational features of the area and to understand their tectonic evolution. All the field structures, observed both at the meso- and macro-scale, such as extensional joints, shear planes and folds, have been described in detail. In all sites where a sufficient number of faults was measured, were employed different methodologies of quantitative structural analysis to estimate the principal stress directions. According to the spatial distribution and the overprinting relationships, in the second section, is discussed the role of the structures, first separately and then in the frame of the tectonic evolution of the area. The deep geometry of the first order structures is also reconstructed and a synthetic deformational model is presented.
