A series of N-(pyridin-2-yl) 3-substituted-4-diazopyrazole-5-carboxamides have been synthesized and their antibacterial activity has been tested. The compds. were assayed against Gram-neg. and Gram-pos. strains. The substituents in position 3 affect the antibacterial activity according either to their bulkness (Gram-neg.) or to their electronic properties (Gram-pos.).
