La rigenerazione speculativa: il caso studio del Parco delle Mura di Ferrara

The contribution deals with the “misunderstandings” of urban re-generation by presenting a contemporary urban project that is being developed in Ferrara, adjacent to the UNESCO heritage site of the Renaissance ramparts, which also represent the main public park of the city. The so-called Progetto Mura which has been responsible for much of the city's urban, economic, social development since the 1980s, is being revived by the new Urban Plan currently being drafted and yet, at the same time, contradicted and dangerously undermined by a purely speculative operation called Fe.Ris.: Ferrara Regeneration Innovation Sustainability.
