An homicide due a “disguised mail bomb”. .

Explosive-related deaths fall into 3 types: accident, homicide, and suicide. Homicidal explosive deaths although rare, are normally associated with acts of terrorism. Here is presented the case of a young Italian man wounded for the explosion caused by the opening, by mistake, of a mailed package addressed to his father, while he was in his kitchen, at 1:00 p.m. The boy was quickly taken by ambulance, but was declared death before the arrive at the hospital. On crime scene, along with biological material several small and large pieces of yellow mail paper, metal and glass fragments and a lot of shotgun pellets were collected.
