This article examines the space for militant action in Turkey in order to highlight the profoundly relational and dynamic character of the forms of collective action that have emerged since 1980, the beginning of a new cycle of protests. Reflecting on this space, which in this article is accomplished by taking into account a plurality of experiences, allows us to grasp in particular the fluid and non-partisan nature of these moments of collective action. On each occasion diverse movements come together to build contexts of action and co-construct themselves. This involves multiple innovations in terms of activists’ repertoire of forms of action and ways of organizing action, thereby introducing and strengthening capabilities of anti-violence.
