The experience considered regards the particular twist that the teaching of “Philosophy of Communication and Language” (offered through elearning) has taken, following a series of choices, overthrowing all initial expectations. The setting in which the writer has operated presented, in fact, a substantial range of critical points concerning a questionable translation of e-learning on the part of the University and the characteristics of the students enrolled on the course. The students are adults (aged > 30), mainly silent in terms of active participation and without, in most cases, any strong motivation to learn and weighed down with prejudices (which they themselves admitted) towards the whole philosophy field. This contribution aims to demonstrate how, through appropriate choices, non-trivial results have been achieved compared to the starting framework (in terms of change and therefore learning, of course).
