This paper (Aristophanes in Manhattan: Mighty Aphrodite by W.Allen) provides an analysis of the chorality found in the movie Mighty Aphrodite by Woody Allen. The Greek choir featured in the Greek theater of Taormina participates in the events of the movie as an alienating element, whose functions are identified by the researcher in spite of all concerns about its definition raised by critics and scholars; the latter speak of subtext (Barker), twisting (Del Corno ), introduction or comment to the story (Girlanda-Tella) etc.

Questo contributo propone un'analisi della coralità nel film Mighty Aphrodite di Woody Allen. Il coro greco inquadrato nel teatro di Taormina e partecipe delle vicende del film è elemento straniante, di cui la studiosa identifica le funzioni, a fronte della perplessità di definizione dei critici e degli studiosi che parlano di sottotesto (Barker), di forzatura (Del Corno), di introduzione o commento alla vicenda (Girlanda-Tella) etc.
