The paper deals with the effectiveness of the works carried out to stabilize a complex active landslide in the village of Acquabona (Northern apennine, Italy). In order to achieve the landslide stabilization by loering the water table, the remedial measures consisted in the construction of 10 modular discontinuos alignement wells (RODREN ®)interconnected by a collector pipe and installed immediately downslope of the village.the analysis of the data, obtained from the geotechnical instrumentation installed to monitor the landslide evolution, proved the suitability of this technology ever since one third of the drainage works became operational. The results of the stability analyses, carried out with the piezometric levels existing before and after the drainage, compared with the experimental data obtained by the monitoring system, have confirmed the effectiveness of the designed remedial works.
