The corrosion behavior of steel bars embedded in mortars made with a blend of Portland cement and 0–15 wt.% of residual pyrolysis glass fiber (PGF), with a water/binder ratio of 0.5 and partially immersed in 3% NaCl solution was studied. The physico-mechanical properties of these mortars and the evolution with time of corrosion potential, linear polarization resistance and electrochemical impedance results were recorded. The electrochemical measurements indicate that in the mortars with 5% and 10% PGF the steel corrosion current (i corr ) is similar to the reference one. With 15% PGF, icorr of steel is higher than in the other systems.
