This chapter provides an evaluation of the overall impact of Portanova new transit project on urban mobility of Perugia. It is maintained that the strategic plan "Perugia-Europa 2003-2013", whose scientific board had been chaired by Gastone Ave, has proved to be successful in its vision which selected Portanova and Minimetrò as key factors not only for a new public mobility in the urban area, but also for a new phase of urban sustainable development.
