In this work are described sampling archaeobotanical experiences in Emilia Romagna region, in Bologna and Modena provincies. It shows the methods used during interdisciplinary archaeological–environmental protocols. In particular, it is described excavation of a medieval site in Sant’Agata Bolognese (BO), where a high interdisciplinary synergy has permitted to plan a correct archaeobotanical in-site sampling, to study discovered materials, to restore wood finds and, finally, to create a new historical-environmental context in the “Museo Archeologico Ambientale” (San Giovanni in Persiceto - BO).
