Abstract

Peroxomolybdenum(VI) complexes bearing monodentate chiral ligands were found to exhibit asymmetric induction in the epoxidation of trans-2-octene. Under identical experimental conditions, bidentate-containihg complexes gave similar results. The implications of these findings on the elucidation of the mechanism of oxygen transfer from the peroxomolybdenum complexes to the substrate are discussed. © 1986.
