The gas‐phase unimolecular decomposition of [M‐H]− of 1,3‐dithiolane S‐oxides has been studied using Fast Atom Bombardment (FAB) for anion generation. A comparison with the reactivity in solution is made and some differences or similarities with the chemistry in the gas‐phase are discussed.
