In terms of territorial and landscape planning opportunities, the Pianura Padana Region, and in particular that part which includes the Po River Delta Park, represents an extremely rich and diversified case study. This part of the territory, at the edge of Padana Megalopolis, has been subjected of many research and didactical experiences focused on the importance of working for environmentally fragile regions. The book compiles some lessons focused on the care of landscape, the economic profitability of rural and suburban territories connected to high quality productive system, and relationship between design approach and planning approach to improve governance techniques.
