Abstract

Adenosine A2A receptors in striatal cells expressing wild type or mutant huntingtin were evaluated through saturation binding experiments. In addition, the functionality of the A2A adenosine receptors were studied through cyclic AMP assays. Interestingly, striatal cells expressing mutant huntingtin reveal an alteration of the affinity and functionality of the A2A adenosine receptors.
