A systematic description of the uncertainty analysis procedures required for compressor testing was presented. The preliminary performance test results on a small size gas turbine compressor with six axial stages and one centrifugal stage was also discussed. The analysis of the uncertainty of the acquired measurements and of the compressor performance parameters showed a large uncertainty of the compressor efficiency. It was found that the determination of performance curves at corrected rotational speed is affected by an uncertainty on the constant value which could be estimated to be about ±80 rpm.
